Mark your calendars for an Open House at Great Country Timber Frames, a new sister company of The Barn Yard. Tour the new facility, watch our state of the art CNC machine in action, and get door prizes. It's all on Saturday, January 23, from 9am to 3pm, at 9 Village Street, Ellington, CT.

The new Manufacturing & Design Facility will be home to Great Country Timber Frames, a new sister company of The Barn Yard. Great Country Timber Frames will serve the growing custom timber frame home and commercial project market, as well as design & cut timber frames and timber components for The Barn Yard, other builders, & general contractors.

Our Fall Festival sure was a lot of fun this year! The hay ride was a big hit and everyone enjoyed the Hummel hot dogs, apple cider donuts, and apple cider. Plus plenty of pumpkins for everyone, complete with a carving template. It was a festival to remember!

The Barn Yard was recently featured on WWLP NBC Channel 22's program "Mass Appeal." This segment was broadcast on September 23 and is available to watch online. In this video, Seth Stutman, host of Mass Appeal, visits The Barn Yard at the Big E and talks with Chris Skinner about the extensive display of sheds, garages, and pavilions.

31 years of quality...now that's a reason to celebrate! Thanks to everyone who visited to celebrate 31 years with us today! It's hard to believe it's already been over 30 years since Everett Skinner started The Barn Yard, back when his son Jr. was only one year old.

We gathered as a team yesterday at Mill on the River in South Windsor CT for our Christmas party. It was great to reminisce with everyone about 2014 over fantastic food & atmosphere and look forward to an unbelievable 2015.

For over a dozen lucky customers, Christmas came early at The Barn Yard! That's because they purchased a qualifying building during our Blue Moon Sale in November and received a free iPad before Christmas.

There's always something in the works at The Barn Yard. The following blog will give you a glimpse of more custom projects we have on the boards. From post and beam barns to custom garages, there's a lot for the crews to build this winter!
