Pavilion on the Town Green in Granville, MA
Our crew recently raised a 26' x 26' Telluride Timber Frame Pavilion on the town green in Granville, MA. Gifted to the town by a long-time resident with donations from other locals, this pavilion is a great spot to enjoy all the rural New England town has to offer. Four picnic tables nestled beneath the pavilion are ideal for having lunch from the Granville Country Store right across the street. The Telluride has king post trusses, common rafters, and steep braces. The large timber trusses are visually interesting, with authentic mortise & tenon joinery using hardwood oak pegs.
Bitterroot Pavilion at the Springfield Boys & Girls Club
We recently had the privilege of raising a 30' x 50' Bitterroot Timber Frame Pavilion for the Springfield Boys & Girls Club. This nonprofit located in Springfield, Massachusetts provides a safe environment for children and teenagers, offering academic support, mentorship, and engaging programs. The club recently added an outdoor park to the grounds, and turned to The Barn Yard for an authentic timber frame pavilion. With a large footprint and a clear span king post timber truss system, the Bitterroot Pavilion is the perfect choice for this space. Several picnic tables under the pavilion provide space for youth to eat, learn, and play throughout the day.
Ridgefield Pavilion by the Pool
A 12' x 16' Ridgefield Pavilion sits atop a stone patio overlooking an immaculate poolscape in Burlington, CT. The Ridgefield Pavilion has pressure-treated wood posts wrapped in maintenance-free vinyl. A copper top cupola crowns the hip roof, and an upgraded ceiling leaves the rafters and tongue & groove roof decking exposed. The customer opted to paint the ceiling white to match the vinyl. A pavilion is a great addition to any backyard space, providing shelter while you enjoy the outdoors.
Raising an Epic 18' x 24' Teton Timber Frame Pavilion
Watch as The Barn Yard crew raises an epic pavilion, from timber delivery to base plate prep, raising the frame, and the completed build. A Douglas fir timber frame with resawn texture, upgraded 10x10 posts and 10x rafter plates, arched king post style trusses, authentic joinery with oak pegs, and Sansin stain will give a presence in the backyard by the pool.

Located at a church, the pavilion hosts parishioners for various events throughout the year. Read on for a photo tour.
Teton Pavilion Entryway
A church in northeastern Massachusetts added a 12' x 28' Teton Timber Frame Pavilion to serve as an entryway for parishioners. The pavilion, with king post trusses and large overhangs, provides shade and shelter to all entering the church. The timbers were painted white, but the roof decking was stained, letting the warmth of the wood tones show underneath the pavilion. The result is a rustic, yet refined entry that matches well with the exterior of the church.
