In Statesville, NC, a standout 60' x 48' Preakness Saratoga Barn Kit has been turned into a rustic wedding reception hall. The customer’s love for horses and fascination with weddings led them to create Chickadee Hill Farms: a family-owned farm and event venue that hosts weddings, seasonal events, and more amidst nature’s serenity. 

The center aisle design of the Saratoga series makes it great for hosting events. The barn’s exterior has white painted pine siding and dark accents. Double doors underneath a timber frame entry portico lead inside to the reception hall on the first floor. Around back, two more sets of double doors let guests out onto the patio. The wedding party has access to a bridal suite on the second floor, with access to a large balcony overlooking the grounds. Four transom dormers—two on each side—provide extra light and headroom for the suite. And, a timber frame cupola ties it all together.
