Two sheds on display at The Big E this year feature a brand new overhead door for sheds: the Modern Full View Glass Overhead Door. This insulated door is a sleek, contemporary option that lets light into your building while keeping it protected from the elements. You can see this garage door on our landmark Grand Victorian Cape Garage, as well as a Victorian Carriage House. Let’s take a look at each of these buildings. 

This year’s Big E Display has two cabins that are different, yet ideal for any situation. We are once again collaborating with Earthlight Technologies to create an Off-Grid Solar Cabin, combining our 14' x 22' Grand Victorian Cape Shed with a timber frame overhang and their Solar Package. We also have our all-new post & beam A-Frame Cabin on display, with authentic timber frame construction, interior finishes, electric, LED lights, heat, A/C, and more. Visit The Barn Yard at the Big E — Friday, September 12 through Sunday, September 28, 2025. It’s the BIGGEST sale of the year at the Big E and our stores in Ellington & Bethel, CT.

There is something truly special about a red Carriage Barn in New England. Between the detailed craftsmanship & iconic silhouette of the post & beam Carriage Barn, to the striking color of the barn’s pine siding against nature’s blues and greens, the barn is a sight to behold. This is a 54' x 48' Hamilton Carriage Barn, with two enclosed lean-tos. Three overhead doors, plus the loft door on the second floor, have all been painted red to match the barn’s siding. A Spanish cedar entry door, with a timber frame eyebrow roof overhead, leads the way inside to an incredible interior. Intricate design and joinery are found throughout the inside of the barn, currently used to keep cars, bikes, lawn equipment, and more. 

Relaxing by the pool just got better. This is a 16' x 20' Grand Victorian Cape Shed that’s been transformed into a luxurious pool house with a timber frame overhang and split sliding doors. This Grand Victorian has a full second floor loft, where a 20' shed dormer and a 6-window farmhouse dormer maximize space and allow for a cozy seating area overlooking the pool. This 42' x 48' Pinedale Monitor Barn with sleek black-stained siding stands out among the lush green trees and bright blue skies in the mountains of New Hampshire. Stained barn doors and timber accents bring a rustic feeling to the barn’s outside, hinting at the authentic post & beam interior.
