This large barn garage, with cedar shakes roofing and western red cedar siding, is visually stunning. Inside, an expansive second floor in one half and cathedral ceilings in the other half ensure the garage functions to maximum storage and hobby potential.

We gathered as a team yesterday at Mill on the River in South Windsor CT for our Christmas party. It was great to reminisce with everyone about 2014 over fantastic food & atmosphere and look forward to an unbelievable 2015.

For over a dozen lucky customers, Christmas came early at The Barn Yard! That's because they purchased a qualifying building during our Blue Moon Sale in November and received a free iPad before Christmas.

This particular Post & Beam Carriage Barn required extra reinforcing due to the 26' span and heavier snow loading in Colebrook, CT. Upon structural analysis of the frame, traditional wood joinery with oak pegs was not found to be adequate enough to resist the significant tension loads the joint had to transmit.

Our hardworking crew is the heart and soul of The Barn Yard. Where the rubber meets the road and the hammer meets the nail or oak peg. These are some of the faces of our Post and Beam Barn building crew, as they build a Saratoga Horse Barn in Sutton, MA. If you could put a face to post and beam, this would be it.

In Colebrook CT yesterday, the crew raised a 26' x 44' Carriage Barn with 12' Lean-To. It snowed just about the entire time. Here's photos of the snowy raising day.

The crew raised the timber frame for a 22' x 32' Post and Beam Carriage Barn with 10' Lean-To located in Clinton, CT. They worked from sun up to sun down. Here are pictures from the post and beam barn raising.
