We were honored to be joined by Lindy Lee Gold, Senior Development Specialist from the CT Department of Economic & Community Development and Lori L. Spielman, First Selectman from the Town of Ellington, for our ribbon cutting this afternoon at Great Country Timber Frames. Everett IV, Chris, and Everett Skinner III cut the ribbon and hosted the event for members of the media, Chamber of Commerce, and government officials.

We appreciate the hard work & dedication of all the vendors & contractors we work with. For without their help, Great Country Timber Frames would still be a dream instead of the reality it is today. Accordingly, we welcomed our vendors & contractors to the new Manufacturing & Design Facility at Great Country Timber Frames yesterday afternoon for a private showing prior to the big open house on Saturday.

With a distinctive timber frame design, this post & beam barn features hemlock bents with floor-to-ceiling posts. An eye-catching and structural tension rod is used between two posts in the entry, in place of a timber beam. Visitors gaze upwards and marvel at the nearly 3 stories of timber frame perfection.

For 31 years, we've been on Route 75 in Windsor Locks. With a showcase location just down the road in Ellington, and a new Manufacturing & Design Facility also in Ellington, we are moving our Windsor Locks operations to Ellington.

We offer all our post & beam barns as timber frame kits. This particular center aisle Saratoga barn was purchased as a kit, and our timber frame crew helped raise the frame for the customer in NH.

The Barn Yard builds barns all over New England. We recently raised this post and beam barn in Winhall, Vermont. It features a 16' timber frame gable dormer, enclosed lean-to, and full ridge beam.
