Our hardworking, dedicated crew of world-class timber framers raised this 32' x 50' Custom Timber Frame Basketball Barn in Wilton, CT. Over the course of two days, our crew worked rain & shine to raise the frame.

We are excited to let everyone know that our Showcase Locations in Ellington and Bethel are open to the public again starting today, May 20, 2020. Please adhere to the following measures when visiting our stores.

Our Marketing Engineer's 6-year old son was inspired by the commercial his dad made, so he created his own version using an old Mac G4 with iMovie. We thought it was so well done that we had to post it here so you could see it too.

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation intensifies, so too does our focus on serving you. The health and safety of our customers and employees is our number one priority. Starting 3/20/20 at noon, The Barn Yard will be open for online orders + by phone, with retail stores temporarily closed to the public, but our staff is still standing by to provide the best customer experience possible. We are still available via phone, email, and virtual meetings to continue serving you. As of now, our dedicated crews are still out on the job site working and delivering buildings. We will keep our valued customers up to date as the situation progresses.

Every timber frame barn starts with the assembly. One by one, each timber finds its place in the frame, and oak pegs complete the connections. After assembling all five queen post bents on the ground, the crane will arrive and the raising will begin.

Our CNC machine is the hero of this new video-churning through wood and making it snow. Watch in 4K and see the precision for yourself. This is how we craft all the timber frame joinery for our post & beam structures. What you see here is a post being crafted for a Carriage Barn.

Watch as we assemble and raise 8 resawn Douglas fir posts, set a massive arched glulam beam, and place heavy timber rafters with great precision on our new wall panel shop. This new building will house design offices, meeting space, and a full manufacturing facility, and is adjacent to our existing 21,000 sq. ft. timber frame facility on the Great Country Timber Frames campus in Ellington, CT.

Exciting news from Ellington, CT-We are expanding our manufacturing & design campus with the addition of a new dedicated wall panel shop. Our talented craftsmen will use this new shop to build wall panels for our conventionally-framed garages & barns. We will also be expanding our existing shop to fit a second CNC machine to keep up with customer demand for our authentic timber frame structures.

From Great Country Timber Frames-It was an epic raising day at the new Fenton River Veterinary Hospital in Stafford, CT. Despite the cold and snowy conditions, our world class timber framing crew assembled and raised these massive douglas fir hammer beam style bents. This new space will be the reception and waiting area for the new Fenton River Veterinary Hospital.
