Introducing the Timber Frame Kit Catalog

This year, the first volume of our Timber Frame Kit Catalog was introduced. This new catalog is dedicated to timber frame kits for barns, cabins, pavilions, and barn homes. Learn how timber frame kits work and what we do, view pre-designed kit models, and gain inspiration looking at the custom builds. Textured paper and a rugged design makes for a reading experience to remember—and gets you ready to handle your own fresh-sawn timbers. Timber frame kits are available nationwide.

New Display Models: Lenox Carriage Barn & Newport Garage

Our Ellington and Bethel Showcases are refreshed each spring, but in 2024, we took it a step further, updating our Carriage Barn and Custom Garage displays in Ellington. In February, the frame was raised for a 32' x 32' Lenox Carriage Barn, and in July, a 24' x 24' Newport Garage with a timber frame lean-to overhang was constructed. Both of these models showcase new features and offerings and are available as special packages.

New Building Models: Sheds, Pavilions, and a Single Story Barn

We introduced six new building models this year. In the Spring, three new shed models were launched: the Classic Greenhouse, the Modern Studio, and the Classic Studio. And, in December, we unveiled two new timber frame pavilions—the Telluride and the Sonoma—as well as a brand new single story barn series: the Car Barn, with our flagship model the Quincy.

40 Years of The Barn Yard

2024 marked The Barn Yard’s 40^th year in business! During the month of May, we took time to reflect on four decades of history, including our first showcase location, The Barn Yard logo evolution and very first catalog, and some of our first commercials. It was also The Barn Yard’s 40^th year at The Big E, and we brought our best showcase yet. Here’s to another 40 years of quality sheds, custom garages, timber frame pavilions, and post & beam barns!
